The Oregon Ballroom Dance Teachers College is now accepting registration for Spring Term.
Orientation for Spring Term will be held at 1 pm February 5th, 2011 at StaverDanceSport, 41 East 6th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon.
SPRING Term classes begin FEBRUARY 26th, 2011.

Teaching dance is a career option for anyone - even those with no prior dance experience! This Program was created and designed to provide the vocational skills needed to be successful in the ballroom dance industry. This program is a Professional Certification Program, and is the perfect opportunity for anyone who loves dance, and is serious about becoming a highly qualified dance instructor. The Teacher Training program covers 12 different dances and is divided into six 4-month quarters. Each quarter is a course unto itself, and you may start the program at the beginning of any quarter.
The entire program can be completed in 24 months, or on an individualized custom schedule!
In these courses, you will learn the leader’s and follower's parts of all the figures in the Bronze Syllabus. You will learn the technical elements from a teacher's perspective and how to communicate them effectively. The course provides full immersion into the world of ballroom dancing: tuition includes free practice and parties, along with discounted group classes!

*Courses available for people who would like to become a ballroom dance instructor, and are looking for a new career opportunity.
*Courses available for those who are already teachers, providing you with an opportunity to become certified through intensive study of a nationally recognized syllabus, and then tested by a National examiner.
Both courses will provide you with all the tools necessary to improve your dancing and to become a great ballroom dance teacher. Focus will be on learning how to dance both lead and follow, how to communicate movement concepts with clarity and precision based on a nationally recognized syllabus, teaching methodology, and theory. Certification Exam at the end of the term will be conducted by a National Examiner for the DVIDA syllabus.
