This course is a Mini Ballroom Sampler" course designed to introduce the beginner dancer to basic patterns in four different dances. Emphasis will be placed on basic lead and follow skills so that you can dance more comfortably with a partner and have FUN! Dances introduced this term: Waltz, Fox Trot, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, and Tango.
This class is for the absolute Beginner in an easy fun atmosphere. Basic introduction to Waltz, Fox Trot, Swing, Cha-Cha, and Tango. Learn the secrets of good Lead and Follow skills!
This term we will be focusing on Smooth and Rhythm/Latin Dances. The Smooth Dances will be American Style Fox Trot, Tango and Waltz. The Rhythm/Latin Dances will be East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha.
This course is intended for students who want to successfully accomplish basic patterns in beginning ballroom dance, and are interested in learning good technique for social dancing. Emphasis will be on styling and movement, technique for lead and follow, posture and frame. Developing these skills will not only enhance your dance abilities, but will also make ballroom dancing much more fun and enjoyable for both you and your partner. If you have any questions during class, please ask. The answer to your question could be beneficial to everyone. And sometimes, "Sometimes", the teacher gives really good answers!
